Raised in backcountry Missouri on Hank Snow, The Beatles, Skynyrd and ’90s country, RC Hall spent decades criss-crossing the planet — Antarctica, Patagonia, Mozambique — before burnout put the camera down and put the guitar back in his hands.
Six months woodshedding alone in an Ozarks cabin turned a “musical mongrel” into a songwriter. His first gig was at the VFW Hall in Buena Vista — “I have never been so terrified.” He hasn’t stopped since.
